QUICK SKINNING INFO - turtle scales/scorpid scales

Need alot of both for leatherworking items.  Alternatively, if you are a gatherer for profit, they do sell well on the AH

Scorpid Scales:  Do not try to farm them in Tanaris, for a days worth of hunting you might get 7 scales, highly irritated and a sunburn.  Although if you are the right level to get good experience there, then I would recommend it (and a big floppy hat or sunscreen).  I believe the scorpids in Tanaris range from 41 around Gadget to 45ish closer to Un'Goro Crater.   The Scorpids in THE BLASTED LANDS have a much better drop rate - plus repeatable quests for killing them (and a few other things) as I recall they range from 46-50 but don't quote me

Turtle Scales:  By far, the best place I have found is in THE HINTERLANDS at The Overlook Cliffs (along the shore)  The turtles are lvl 48-50, neutral.  There is a wandering 48 elite turtle named Gammerita you'll have to run from now and then, but she always makes the same path. I came home with about a hundred scales on my last trip (along with thick and rugged leather, and a few pearls - iridescent and black- and turtle meat which is very salable on AH)    I also found turtle scales in Steamwheedle Port in TANARIS outside of Gadgetzan.  Not as plentiful, but a bit lower level.
