This is a guide I will continue to update and refine into a higher resolution image of what I do in raids. Please point out typos, ask questions about stuff, point out flaws or ways to improve, or anything else you can think of. For now, this is what I could pound out in a 30 minute sitting.

#############################################################
#############################################################

Spec:
0/17/54
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-...na&group=2

Glyph of the Ghoul
Glyph of Dark Death
Glyph of Icy Touch

There are other viable spec out there, like sinking your non-unholy talent points into blood. This gives more strike damage and less threat generation. The sub-frost spec has more disease damage and is less reliant on a quick computer or internet connection, as well as doing more damage in general. What I lose is threat reduction though, which means I can pass tanks in threat if I have a sufficiently good run of crits and procs.

#############################################################
#############################################################

Rotation macro:

/castsequence reset=2 Plague Strike, Icy Touch, Blood Strike, Scourge Strike, Blood Strike, Death Coil, Horn of Winter, Scourge Strike, Blood Strike, Scourge Strike, Blood Strike, Death Coil, Death Coil
/use Scourgelord Gauntlets
/use !Rune Strike

This macro is not optimal. What this macro is, is a insurance policy. No matter what happens, I will always have a perfectly smooth rotation.* Because I don't have to think about that rotation at all, I now get to focus all my attention to things like situational awareness, fight mechanics, raid and guild management, and making snarky comments in vent.

If someone was to learn the rotation, or better yet operate on a priority system, and was sufficiently good at it, passing someone who used this macro would be trivial. I have held that I suffer a 5% to 15% dps drop with this macro than if I did it all from muscle memory. What I gain in other areas more than makes up for this damage drop and it has yet to be a problem, so this is my method.

/use Scourgelord Gauntlets
This is there to automatically use the Engineering: Hyperspeed Accelerators. Once again, not optimal. If I wanted to maximize my dps I would click on a link to my gloves at optimal times. Instead I've set it up to do it on its own so it's up a larger percentage of a fight.

/use !Rune Strike
This line of the macro uses my Rune Strike if it's up. Rune Strike only activates after I dodge or Parry an attack, and costs 20 Runic Power. I hope this part of the macro is never used, but it sure does get used a lot on trash and faction champs.

*It is worth noting that this macro only works well if you are hit and expertise soft capped. >263 hit and =>25 Expertise. If you are pounding this macro and you miss, all bets are off.

##############################################################

Preparation:

Here is a list of consumables that I take with and use in a raid.

Flask of Endless Rage: There is no better.
Potion of Speed: Used before and during a fight if I think I can manage it.
Dragonfin Filet: The increase in DPS over fish feast is probably small, but I'm not willing to let that dps slide.
Spiced Mammoth Treats: Cheap, and when 30% of my DPS is my pet, it's worth giving the little guy a boost.
Saronite Bombs: Two fold bonus between just being a AOE dps gain, and being a single target dps gain when I have down time in my rotation.

This is a series of small moves. Nothing here is huge or game changing here. But the devil is in the details.

#############################################################
##############################################################

The Fight:

Pre Pull:
Potion of Speed, Army of the Dead, Sartonite Bomb as I run in.

Initial DPS phase:
Castsequence macro until Rage of the fallen has reached 20 stacks, indomitable has reached 3 stacks, you have 60 Runic Power, and Potion of Speed has come off cooldown. (At this point I am at the best estimation of highest AP and haste. without external factors. I will probably reach higher during a boss fight, but over the course of all fights forever, this will average the highest AP average, and I'm okay with that.)

Max Damage:
If possible use a Potion of Speed in conjuction with Heroism and pop the Gargoyle. Gargoyle inherits a snapshot of both AP and haste, so summoning it when you are at a generally high part of your cycle will be a huge gain in DPS. In as few global cooldown as you can manage, high Empowered Rune Weapon if your runes aren't all or mostly ready to rock, and start slamming on the castsequence macro through the remainer of the Potion of Speed as well as heroism.

Cruise Control:
Through the rest of the fight you can smack the castsequence macro and obey all the rules of the fight and raiding. Use Anti-Magic Shell to soak up some extra spell damage and runic power without getting yourself killed so you can toss off an extra death coil or two every minute or so. When Bone Shield drops, because of damage or the timer ran out, use blood tap before reapplying bone shield. That will keep your rotation smooth instead of using a rune you were counting on for the castsequence macro for something like bone shield.

Rinse and Repeat:
If a fight is sufficiently long like Festergut, you can use the gargoyle more than once. If that is the case then you must follow the spirit of the initial dps preparations as well as when to summon your gargoyle to maximise damage.
