Druid is getting to the point where end game raids will become a large part of his time. I am planning on being a healer Druid but I still need to be able to solo things for small quests and farming. Any advice on must have and must not waste points on talents would be great. Going to work up a build for your dissection .

ok here is my attempt

Balance Talents (0 points)

None

Feral Combat Talents (11 points)

Ferocity - 5/5 points
Reduces the cost of your Maul, Swipe, Claw, and Rake abilities by 5 Rage or Energy.

Brutal Impact - 2/2 points
Increases the stun duration of your Bash and Pounce abilities by 1 sec.

Feral Instinct - 3/5 points
Increases threat caused in Bear and Dire Bear Form by 9% and reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while Prowling.

Feral Charge - 1/1 point
Causes you to charge an enemy, stopping its movement and interrupting any spell being cast for 4 seconds.

Restoration Talents (31 points)

Improved Mark of the Wild - 5/5 points
Increases the effects of your Mark of the Wild spell by 35%.

Improved Healing Touch - 5/5 points
Reduces the cast time of your Healing Touch spell by 0.5 sec.

Subtlety - 5/5 points
Reduces the threat generated by your healing spells by 20%.

Insect Swarm - 1/1 point
The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit by 2% and causing 66 Nature damage over 12 sec.

Tranquil Spirit - 5/5 points
Reduces the mana cost of your Healing Touch and Tranquility spells by 10%.

Improved Rejuvenation - 3/3 points
Increases the effect of your Rejuvenation spell by 15%.

Gift of Nature - 5/5 points
Increases the effect of all healing spells by 10%.

Nature's Swiftness - 1/1 point
When activated, your next Nature spell becomes an instant cast spell.

Innervate - 1/1 point
Increases the target's Mana regeneration by 400% and allows 100% of the target's Mana regeneration to continue while casting. Lasts 20 seconds.

Unspent talent points: 9

I am aiming to mainly be a healer with solo ability(hence the feral)...have thought about loading out the 9 in resto for full on healing but I am not sure at this point. Is Furor worth it?(100% to gen rage or energy on shapshift)

I used to do the shifting points, but I'm unsure on furor. I used to have it in my first build, but then I came to the following conclusion:

1- In cat form, I don't need it instantly. If I'm dps'ing - then I'm in cat form before the fight. Hence Energy is already there.
2- In bear form, I either shifted because I'm being beaten on (rage will regen on it's own) or I'm wanting to taunt aggro off a squishy. And I think taunt comes up without need of rage (at least single-target taunt). And you always have enrage to buy you a second or so. Of course, if you insta-heal the person being attacked and then shapeshift to pull off some aggro, you have some aggr already bought and it should be easier to get the peeler.

I spent a lot of my feral points in armor/hide increases and in extra aggro - because when I'm offtanking, they come in really handy. I'll post my 3rd revision of my talent build soon.

Thanks Dhrydan....that seems to make alot of sense, the reason I was thinking furor was for squishy offtank. Smart to hit an insta heal to gen some aggro. Cant wait to see your build. I chose imp rejuve over imp regrowth. Is it worth it to have both talents or would you use one DoT over the other. The problem I can see with regrowth is the casting time. Other healers will often see the problem and hit the target before regrowth is done winding up making it wasted mana (aside from the DoT effect if there is still damage)

I am currently working on my Druid, I want him to be a strong healer. I quite early in his Druid career   but I want to plan the talents distribution adequately. I have one question: Can I redistribute talents if I think I messed up? Im thinking about doing that already (lvl 15)

You can always "respec" your character... there is a fee of course... 1gold the first time... 5gold the next and so on until it caps at 50 gold.

Lvl 15 might be a little early to respec. You've only gotten 6 talent points by that time and typically the first tier of each tree doesn't make or break a character. Usually the first big level for talent points is level 40 when a player can finally get the end tier talent of the tree.
