I've been very happy with Win7. I'm running it on my work laptops, my personal netbook, and I've started dogfooding it at home.

I'm a huge fan of it. I'll pass along your kudos to the planning team - and be sure to use the 'Send Feedback' link to send along what you like (in addition to what you don't). I've been very vocal...and even had a dev contact me about my feedback - so they are reading it.

It looks like no F&F beta with Win7 (I asked). There is the public beta available, and it sounds like the RC will be put out there soon.

At this point, try it out via download when the RC is released...and talk to me again when it gets released. :)

bah - on most hardware I've tried it on, Win7 has actually performed better than XP (which suprised the hell out of me the first time).

It may be worth trying out -- I just installed it on an old Dell I bought in 2001, and the sucker is doing pretty well. One small issue with sound card (it seems Creative purposely didn't update their drivers and went after someone when they had updated the driver for them). But I completely understand risk aversion. :)

That being said, Win7 runs WoW better than XP or Vista - my hats off to the 7 dev team!
