So what do you think this means:

-  Alchemy
There is now an Elixir of Greater Firepower recipe in the world. The
Dark Iron Dwarves of the Searing Gorge hold the secret.

Does this mean that I should go on a Dark Iron Dwarf killing spree?  Or are the Dark Iron Dwarves the good guys in Searing Gorge? I can't remember.

Dark Irons are the evil dwarves... I have read they drop off of slavemasters and taskmasters, although the drop rate is slow-ish. Just keep grinding, saw posts saying the have dropped down in the slag pit.

"In the searing gorge" -- yeah, that'd be the slag pit, that place up along the north rim, and the like

Sabre (70 warrior)
Sceptre (70 warlock)
Thornkiss (70 priest)
Chibi (62 rogue)
and a slew of others, 9 - 53

To the Alchemists -- Welcome to the cruel world of Thorium Brotherhood faction. I assume from the patch notes that there is finally some alchemy recipes availble through TB faction. I think that is more bad than good :-). It's nice there is another recipe. TB faction is nearly impossible to gain revered and exalted status. You don't kill Dark Iron Dwarves. You turn in Dark Iron Ore, Lava Cores, Core Leather and other insanely valuable items from the Molten Core.

You can get to Honored through a series of quests though.

Actually Tref it is a confirmed drop. People have gotten it from taskmasters all the way to slaves. So in other words Slag pit will be on farm status for a bit. Just a random drop.

Thanks for the clarification. That is good news. I would rather farm for it by killing those guys than have to worry about working yet another toon up through TB faction status levels.

Well, I must have had some really good luck.  I found the recipe after killing about 10 taskmaster/slavers down in the Slag Pit.
