hello everyone. how are you doing? i'm doing very well here, and getting used to things around here. i like to ride around on the four wheeler and met people and see how we can work together to make our stay in iraq better. i'm right next to the airfield in mosul, and i have a very nice place to stay and work in. i have no complaints.
I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a long time. Please excuse my absense. I hope that you all are having fun in the game of WOW. I miss it alot, and I think about it everyday.
If you wish to send a care package, that is most generous of you. I'm not a picky person, and will appreciate anything. There are no restrictions what you can send me, just be understanding that you have to fill out a customs sheet at the post office that lists the contents.
Thanks for your nice words, and your concerns. Stay safe as I do.

I don't think a lot of tough soldier read Tiger Beat and Teen Idol magazines. That's the only "girly" magazines I can think of ;-).

Ever wonder why you do something sometime that you were told to do? Well my experience so far in Iraq has been exactly that. You can't seem to fart without being questioned or getting yelled at. I'm an NCO and I even get yelled at. Now I don't believe in yelling at people. I like to make friends not loose them. I just don't understand why the military has to be such jackasses about issues. If it didn't hurt anyone, jeopardize our security or ruin anything, who gives a shit? There are alot of little cry babies in my platoon and I can't stand it. I'm about to shoot the biggest one of them all. He barks the orders but can never get muddy with his soldiers. Wimp. Sorry ladies in the guild, but I'm venting. Thanks for listening. If any of you are on Yahoo Messenger, I'm "skiibum74" that is [s k i i b u m 7 4] Give me a shout sometime, would love to talk to some rationed people with a bit more intelligence than most around here. Until next time. Keep on rockin! Have a great day.
Respectfully,

Smitty

There are a lot of senseless rules and policies in the Army (or any branch of the military). The only reason they exist is because someone higher ranking said so. It sucks. It's always there, but you know the drill :-) The poop rolls down hill. They are probably yelling at you because someone yelled at them who was higher ranking and was threatened by someone higher ranking and so on... Nobody knows who made up the rules, but careers will end if the rules aren't followed :-) If something gets damaged, lost or someone gets hurt, the rules better have been followed or someone not really responsible will end up as the scape goat.

Hang in there!
