I don't know warlocks very good (never played one), but there's rarely a single great template that covers end game raiding, pvp and leveling all at the same time.
For my toons, I am ignoring the end game raiding need when TBC is released. I'm ignoring PvP too. I think it will be better to focus on a leveling + instance dungeon template. I expect to level up my priest mostly healing in dungeons. There are a TON of new instances, so I doubt there will be any shortage of opportunities.
For my rogue, I will probably do more solo leveling. So I will focus more on that, but keep instance dungeons in mind.
I think the "end game" raiding talents can mostly wait until level 69 or 70 -- talents that really help you pack a punch on boss-level mobs.
Sorry for not answering your question directly, but maybe it will be helpful to focus on the initial task at hand when TBC comes out -- leveling up and running instance dungeons.
PvP will be miserable IMO until you get back to max level and get at least a small amount of good level 70 gear. |

I have at least got Misstic to 60 and while I was leveling the demon tree was a big help with buffs (sacrafice), but in Raiding and PvP the best builds will be strong in Affliction and Destruction.
The DOTS are great damage dealers and some of them help out in debuffing the target. The Destruction field is of course where you boost your damage up.
Id suggest the first template, but Id go for the better HS instead of the Imp.

I love affliction! That is how I leveled, and love pvp with affliction/dest that is the build I orginally picked for TBC but the felguard was looking tempting. Right Meresit is forced to spec demo for the aggro reduction. (otherwise big bad things really like me.)
With the built in aggro reduction for affliction/dest I think that will be the best.
( as always, I'll have to try the felguard just to see what it is like)

| I seem to recall they are expanding the maximum number of debuff slots against mobs again. I forget the number I saw, but it was quite a few more than 16 once TBC is released. |

| From what I hear...the Felguard is going to be a beast. Additionally...I've heard things about Demonology Warlocks being indestructible (or nearly so). I'm going 20 Affliction, 41 Demonology. The destruction talents look nice...but I've never been end-game raiding...so I don't know how useful they'd be. |

40 debuff slots and maximum of 25 raiders. Double yum!
Twice the debuffs and half the players. (roughly) |

| Also one thing to think about is the new resillience ratings on armor, if your built around crit damage in pvp all the pvp gear has resillience so your going to crit less and crit for less damage. The nice thing about affliction is it isnt depenant on crits. |

| I dunno; destruction calls to me.... PvP, I love affliction and its "hah, death is coming for you!" feel. PvE (which is where I'll live while levelling, at least), i love conflag a little too much |

It is so much fun to load hordies up with dots, fear them and then /dance as run themselves to death.
41 affliction sounds really tempting, but not sure if UA is worth giving up ruin. |

Well how often will you be casting shadowbolts with how many dots we have now and the fact that drain life increases dmg done with how many dots are on the mob.
Ill be doing 41/20/0 for my build I believe. |

Misstic will be doing 41 in affliction as well, but not sure yet about desto. I guess it will depend on how well the DOTS work in raids. I love Adere's build for PvP though it should be really good.
Cant wait for BC LOL.

| I think with 40 debuff slots and 25 people I think our dots will be perfect. |

Fuzzi loves Conflag too. I started as a mostly affliction lock but switched to mostly destruction. I will just wait and see how things go.

Hey Mer,
You get your warlock build figured out yet?
I'm still SM/Ruin now and in BWL and AQ40 I've had my ass handed to me more than once for popping off a couple crits in a row. Granted I have threatmeter now so it's kind of a non issue anymore but still...
So my two cents... I'd say for the expansion go affliction... DoT's are sexy.
See you in January,
