So, You Want To Be A Member of Resurrection?

********************
INVITE POLICY CHANGE
********************

Effective 10/18/2006

Resurrection is making a change to our recruiting policies. It is a rather significant one too. We are no longer doing an “Open Door” recruiting system. By this, I mean that anyone who applied in the past was invited into the guild (unless there was a serious problem with the person). They then went through an Initiate period of 1 month.

We are changing to a “By Invitation Only” system. We consider applications from strangers who are active and would like to raid, but are restricting invites to players we see as a 'good fit' for the guild. We don’t mean to be unfriendly. We are definitely not too “elite” :-). We’ve simply been growing too fast and this puts a strain on the guild. There are many great and wonderful players out there that we may not know yet. We hope to adventure with you in the future!

It is our opinion that class balance in guilds is going to become an important problem to manage with Blizzard’s shift to smaller-group PVE content in The Burning Crusade.

If we are in need of certain classes in the guild, we will post them here in the forums. We also post ads at fansite forums from time to time. Feel free to contact us if you play one of the classes we are actively seeking.

If you are interested in becoming a member seek out Members of Resurrection and run with us. If you've spent some time with us then you will have a better feel for if we're right for you along with a handy referance.

ARE YOU A GOOD MATCH FOR RESURRECTION?
**************************************

We have very few rules or requirements. We actively enforce the few rules we do have.

1. Communications in open guild chat channels MUST be tame and appropriate for a family setting. A good guideline is the standards for prime time broadcast television (ABC/NBC/CBS, not HBO). We have a wide range of people and ages in the guild. We need to keep things appropriate for everyone. Please keep in mind also that we do not enforce a 100% G rating. Some tolerance for rare mild language and slip-ups is necessary.

DON'Ts (Examples): No Profanity (keep it limited). No discussion of sexual acts and situations. No derogatory language involving sexual orientation, racism, religion, etc. etc. etc., if you don't know the drill by now, you probably are not a good match for our guild. Enough said...

Keep it clean and we will all get along swell!

NOTE: We don't generally appreciate "Leet Speak." If it is important for you to communicate this way, and/or to argue with other players about what is the most "L337," you are not going to fit in to our guild very well.

2. Be an honorable player. If you have questions, read the Code of Conduct or ask an officer of the guild. This is pretty self explanatory.

DON'Ts (Examples): No cheating, hacking or breaking the EULA. No disrupting other guild's activities. No dishonest looting or kill stealing. Etc., Etc., Etc. If you can't play nice, you are not a good match for our guild.

Refer to Guild Information Section:
http://www.resguild.com/GuildInformation/tabid/56/Default.aspx

THAT'S IT! We really don't ask a lot from people. We just want to have a fun time.

************
PLEASE NOTE!
************

We are *NOT* an elite guild.

If you really want to be in the most elite guild on the server, you will not be happy here. If you want to advance quickly through the endgame PVE dungeons, you will become impatient with our speed.

We have a great endgame raiding team, but we move slow and steady at a casual pace through the WoW PVE content. If you want to get decked out in Black Temple purples by the end of the week, you are not going to be happy in our guild.

You will find a great active group of friends to play with. We do a little of everything and do well at all of it. We take care of new players and people who are new to MMORPG's. We include everyone in activities as much as possible.

We have regularly scheduled events and raids.

We are well organized and we know what kind of community we want to build on the server. We've done it in Wow and in other games before this. There are many members here with years of MMORPG experience.

If you think all of that makes sense, we'd love to have you with us!

RESURRECTION RAIDING
********************

Resurrection is currently running TBC instances regularly weeknights and can schedule any other instances by request to a Raid Leader. We usually start raiding around 7-8pm (Central, Whisperwind Server Time)

Our raiding is well-organized, casual and fun; we encourage input and a good time during these raids. If you're not having fun, why are you playing?

We have an open Vent server for our member’s consumption.

ABOUT SLACK
***********

SLACK is our multi-guild raiding alliance, we used to regularly raid Ony, MC and BWL with them.

With the release of The Burning Crusade SLACK is currently raiding Gruul's Lair and they are looking at starting SSC. Most of the guilds in the coalition run Karazhan in-house, but they fill their empty slots sometimes with people from the other guilds.

We have a cross-guild communication tool, and SLACK guilds fill missing slots for their 5-person dungeon groups from the other guilds when they can. So you have access to many quality players to group with.

Being an initiate in Resurrection, you may not sign up for SLACK endgame raids until you have become a member. You may participate in the raids only if invited. Often there are holes to be filled at the end for chances to participate.

Check out http://slack.phoenixtear.org/ for more info.
