Someone...please help calm me down here.  I'm reading some of the things being implimented in 1.10.
-Preist tree changes:  Cool, harder to work spec..but all good in the end.
-Dungeoun Caps:  Ok, we can deal with this also.  Ubrs with 10 is still totally doable.  I'm not looking forward to scholo or strat though, lol.  Plus they are supposeadly "upping" the mob loot tabels..this balances out, right?
-NEW INFO:
From 1.10 patch notes:
SpellStopCasting() requires input to work, like spell casting does.
This change will break ALL mana conserve mods, as they use this function to interrupt the cast.
So, CTRA will no longer be able to use the mana conserve function.  Due to lag spikes and high latency in raids...even if I move to cancel a heal it still often casts.  I'm wondering why they are making the highest burn-out raid class even harder????
-NEW INFO: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=7358741&s=blizzard&tmp=1#blizzard
The devout set (and all other Tier 0 sets) are having Set bonuses changed IF you do a quest.  Her are Devouts:
2/8: +200 Armor
4/8: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 23
6/8: When struck in combat has a chance of shielding the wearer in a protective shield which will absorb 350 damage.
8/8: +8 All Resistances

Now to be called tier 0.5.  I fortunately kept what devout did come my way.  5 pieces I think.  This quest upgrades them to purple with pretty decent set bonuses.  Does this mean I need to go Farm UBRS for my chest, or just keep focused on MC?  Not having full devout (having what "was" better DM gear, I'll be outclasses by people who bothered to get the set) lol.  I'm doing ok in MC now...I guess I'll still be doing ok after the patch.  Just gotta keep thinking forwards (Tier1) instead of backwards.
ok, the change is good for most of us...I understand it is PER CLASS only though, so you can't upgrade Dreadmist if you chose that route...etc.
BTW, you can only test trolls and dwarven priest on the Test realm...guess we won't get to test our new racials. Ah well.

Some of these changes are huge.  Just made me freak out a bit. typing it all out made me calmer..but still...I'm feeling a bit on over my head .

1) I vote not stressing about Devout -- as you said, we're moving toward MC sets (but if UBRS is available, dont hesitate to go along )
2) the StopSpellCasting is a little annoying, but I suspect someone will macro/script something so that you just spam a button and it will stop your spellcast (stuff can still use the hook, but it requires user interaction) -- if the "spam button" is a hotkey, easier still -- no use of a hotbar slot

Someone is gonna have to teach me how towrite macros.
I mean, I know the general concept..but I've only ever written the kind that tells my party/raid who I'm rezzing or what I'm shacking, etc.
Maybe my hubby knows, I'll ask him, but if not, maybe one of you guys could give me some tips :-)

P.S  Since the Test server is up...who wants to go!?  lol

Check out the Druid section for some outdated macros that show some basic needs. I learned by copying/pasting from others. Heh - it works.
