i was a little preemptive in my post saying that everything was ok with my latency although removing the router from the equation did help a little it didnt solve my issue...  i got fed up with my problem two nights ago and called Comcast outa the blue to see if they could see anything that time although i had called them before and they said my connection was fine.  well they pinged my computer from a denver based server and found that i was getting around 6%  packet loss and so i made an apointment for a tech to finnaly come out and look at my computer.  well he just left (he replaced my power supply to my modem and changed out the ethernet cable from modem to comp)  and so far *crosses fingers*  i have been playing for half an hour and havent seen the latency bar change red *YIPPIE*  i will test it tonight when i go into some instances but i think finnaly my problem has been resolved...  so....  yeah happy happy joy joy =p  im back in action the way i should be and watchout mobs you aint got nuttin on me now =p

WE did somthing simmilar...but without the good results.  When we talked to comcast (funny, we live 4 states away, but have the same provider), they checkout our connection.  Apparently, the problem is that we re living in an appartment building that was built during the late 60's.  The phone lines are old...in some cases degraded, and we are getting a little over half the banddwidth we are paying for. It's still pretty decent though.

I'm guessing that about 10% of the lag I experience is on my end, 90% is from BLizz's end.  Maybe 20/80 at most.  But I've compared myself with other people..asking them when they were experiencing even momentary lag, and in MC, it is comming in spikes that the whole group experiences.  So...I really hope Blizz installs those new servers for our use soon!  Though...they may be planning to use them for something else.  Ah well, we manage somehow :-)

Speaking of lag, as anyone been having issues on the boat, the map use to be really quick now it is taking much longer, and I sometimes lock up getting off the boat. Any ideas/similiar experience?

I locked up for many seconds coming off the boat on to Theramore last night. I thought for sure I had froze or disconnected, then all of a sudden everything started moving again.

Great little patch they put in, woot! thanks for the rotten code :-)

Well, this topic has been derailed, lol

but seriously, the boat issues are a known issue/bug, and blizz posted they were working on a fix.  That was almost 2 weeks ago....no word on it since ~sigh~ .

Btw, this was an issue right after 1.9 too.  I think it's a constant issue they are always trying to fix :p
