Ok i have leatherworkng/skinning for my hunter and the question i have is....
How do you know what animals skin which hide? I went from light leather to medium leather by skinning animals one level higher than my hunter but i cannot
seem to get the mats needed for a cured hide.  

Do only certain critters have only certain hides? Dragon scales from dragons and murlock scales from murlocks i know that, but when i comes to bears, wolfs,tigers etc., i cant seem to skin any hides to cure . What am i doing wrong?
Is there a place i can get information on which critters when skinned provide certain hides?

Sorry man, i've never done skinning on any toons.

Sorry Garrok

Hides are random.  You should have ran across some light hides as your skinning was coming up.  Then the things that give off medium leather will random skin medium hide, same with heavy, thick and rugged.
