AEP stands for Agility Equivalence Points
The formula for AEP is as follows:
1 Agility = 1 Stamina = 2 Strength = .1%
Crit. = 5 Defense = .2% Dodge = .13% Parry = .13% To Hit = 2 Attack Power = 5
Daggers = 4 Any Resistance = 5 Health/5 Sec. = 50 Armor
Using this forumla you can compare gear and decide if it is indeed worth switching out for
A great site with a Chart listing of armor for rogues is http://shadowpanther.net/wow.htm/
It lists the armor stats along with their calculated AEP values

Fascinating! I've followed some of the number crunching more for
priests. My #1 alt is a rogue though. I guess in the back
of my mind I knew that Agi flowed through to pretty much almost
everything else.
Thanks for digging up that compact info and Agi=[Stat] forumla!
Let's include that in our library section for rogues! It really is pretty important info.

The information is both very useful and facinating. But I am curious where the causal relationships are. For example (maybe):
General (All Classes) 1 AGI = 5 Defense
5 Defense = 50 Armor && 4 Any Resistance && .13% Parry && .2% Dodge
2 Attack Power = .1% Crit && .13% to hit
Rogue Specific (1 AGI OR 1 STA OR 1 STR) = 2 Attack Power && 5 Daggers && 5 Defense && 5 health/5 sec
Any links or information on larger game dynamics?
I ask because for Druids, 1 STR = 2 AP, but 1 AGI = 1 AP (with new patch), and I would be curious what is default behavior and what is rogue specific out of that.

don't even know how the AEP formula came to be since the post was gone
by the time i found out about it.
you might tryout www.worldofwar.net
