Okay! Now that the power is back on and we've successfully thrown out EVERYTHING in our fridge and freezer (they didn't tell me we could get hurricane-class winds in the Pacific NW)...I'm thinking of trying out my Druid.
What have people seen with the new druid specs? Any pitfalls to avoid? And must haves? I'm assuming we're still in serious need of healers and the tree-form should be my target 'end game' at the moment, or have they made changes that still allow for stellar healing without going all the way to 41 in restoration? |

| You should spec for Rabid Weasel Form and steal pies to fill my baked goods treasury! |

You should spec for Rabid Weasel Form If only!
That would be awesome - it's only weakness is a hunter's tranq shot and pie satiation! |

I've been liking Tree Form myself, but I can easily see how other specs would work out well for healing too. There might be more PvP friendly specs available if you like to both Raid and PvP. If you're mostly interested in Raiding with your Druid I do think the 41 pts. in Resto is a good idea, although you'll find it a pain to swap out for decursing and removing poison.
Feel free to track one of our Trees down in game if you have any more questions. Tree definitely pumps out the healing if that's what you're looking for, and now that HoTs stack I like to see a forest behind my tanks. =) |

HoT stacking is HOT!!!
Sorry for my less than serious initial response. I don't really know a lot about druid templates. I do have an endless supply of nonsense, so I couldn't help myself.
It always seems like there's plenty of room for more dedicated healers ... depends on how you want to play. It seems like Dhrydan is your primary character. I set my priest back to being a pure healer. I plan to level him up to 70 exclusively in instances, except for maybe a quest here and there for a vital gear upgrade. So being stong in healing is just fine (and thus totally gimped in soloing ability). My rogue will be the opposite. I'll be respecing out of my pure PvP build when TBC goes live and grab a solo/instance build. |
