I enjoyed the thesis on the distribution and impact of stupid people .
I especially liked the little truism:
"Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid
individuals in circulation."

That is so true! lol. It seems that you will ALWAYS attract a
stupid person or two whenever you form a raid from pickup people.
It always happens. The only hope for success is that the rest of
the people in the raid can make up for the difference and still succeed.

Some really excellent information. A lot of it is new to me (for my baby hunter) and will really make a difference when I start playing the toon again.
When someone picks up working on the Hunter section (hint hint anyone), we'll make a point of getting the info on there. |

I haven't played a hunter yet, so I
don't really feel qualified to comment or argue any of your points. I
did read through everything very carefully because I find it useful to
understand other classes. I especially like reading write-ups by
guildies because you guys are generally very well-read about your
classes. I read some of this stuff on fansite forums, but the
difference with guildie write-ups are that I get to actually play along
side you and watch what you are talking about -- very useful! |

| That is a lot of usefull information that i was looking for. Thanks for posting, I can use this as i have a low hunter and this has answered many questions i have. Rolling a hunter has been very different for me as my main is a warrior. thanks again for the usefull information. I do have a question thought on pets....of the ones you mentioned you did not mention raptors. As a noob are these not worth useing as a pet? |

I wouldn't bother with a raptor.
My fav. grinding pet is a bear. Bears eat any food, which is awesome when you are out in the field and don't wanna bother stocking expensive food.
I have an owl for a PVP pet. It has dive and screech (luv the screech+scorpid fun for melee types). Owls are also big on the screen, leading to ppl targeting your pet when tabbing/clicking.
As far as the talent build, I went with BM up to wrath (I put 2 points in mend versus the 1 you showed, mend rox when a mage frost novas you and your pet. If BW is not up you can use the mend dispel effect to release your pet while you get pinged in your dead zone.)
I split my remaing point between mark and survival. Mark up to Aimed shot 11 pts., survival 9 points to wing clip. In PVP the improved range is nice, but I found the pace so fast it was a trivial difference. However, to have two options to snare/stun ppl rox!
For what it's worth I think Intimidate is a better stun than scattershot. When epic mounts go cruising by, the pet stun helps me mow em down because it can be done at a far greater distance than scattershot.
