So, I know my time in game is going to be scaled back quite a bit in the near future. (school + work) I'm thinking of striking myself from a healer position and moving to a more PVP oriented build.

I've never been very happy with a Ret build and I've come across something fantastic that I've never given much thought to- Shockadin! (40/0/21)

"A shockadin, by definition, is a melee class that has become a caster that stands 40 yds back spamming heals and moves in 20 yds every 15 seconds to hit with a bolt of shock. This completely shocks the enemy as surely there must be some mistake that a character wearing 12000 armor is standing 40 yds away."

Sources: WoWInsider.com, JeffyPallys Build and JeffyPallys PVP Video

The video itself wasn't too impressive for me, but I could see myself PVP with a build like this and it showcased the build well.

This would require a total rebuild of my pally; gear, talents and my gameplay style- so I'm kind of sceptical of leaving holy for right now.

Has anyone tried this build? How did you like it? How did you hate it?

Any general thoughts would be appreciated (from anyone) as well!

hm The video link doesn't seem to be working, it links back to the Armory page a second time

the Build looks interesting though

Cats can work out mathematically the exact place to sit that will cause most inconvenience.

That looks like a pretty cool build. Almost enough to make me want to finish leveling Gimler who is currently 58.

Gimlen - 70 Prot Warror(Main Character)
Tock - Up n Coming Warlock(Alt)

All Others Retired

I think I'll have to give this build a try as well. Cearwyn was originally a Fist of the Heavens spec pally in Diablo2. A rather poorly specced one, but still, it's the thought that counts

Marethen - 41 Frost Mage (Enchant 300 //Tailor 269)

Cearwyn - 33 Paladin (Engineer 172 //Mining 119)

I switched last night, I'm doing more damage and faster- still not enough to respect during an instance. (bursting around 250 dps, better than my old 120/140 dps) But, I'm building my spellpower up. I had just 980 to heal , 300ish to bonus damage- i'm looking at a long road to reversing that.

but i'm liking it a lot so far!

Sounds like you are going Retribution. That's a lot of fun.

I thought I would throw this in. It's pretty much THE paldin healing build (give or take a point here and there based on preference) of most paladins in top ranked arena teams. This is a healing spec though.
