Enchanting is a profession; my suggestion is look over this profession guide on WoW's site. Link HERE  Lots of useful information; it will help you out a lot!

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/professions/index.html

Sadly enchanting armor at such a low level is wasted, it's very costly and between levels 1 to mid-20's or 30's there is not really a point to it. Although, you can take up the enchanting skill and after a bit of learning the trade you'll have some nice enchants you can give yourself and others.

A guide to help you start learning the game: Link HERE

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/#gettingstarted

You'll burn through your armor and constanly upgrade it for a while; it'll slow down a bit after you hit your 20's.

Something else to realize: Enchanting is rough on your bank. The pretty green and blue items that are good $ when sold to NPCs or on the AH? you tear them apart for mats.

Sabre (70 warrior)
Sceptre (70 warlock)
Thornkiss (70 priest)
Chibi (62 rogue)
and a slew of others, 9 - 53

Good point!
I myself tossed about 200-400g into enchanting when I took it up at level 60.
That 200-400g went to buying hard to find recipies, a lot of repairs after running (farming) lower instances to get greens/blues, and buying a ton of greens/blues off the Auction House (AH was the main cost, faster to buy than farm the higher level places)

When looking on the AH for things to buy and disenchant for crafting materials, I had one rule- never spend over 80s. If items that disenchanted into materials I needed, and were above my price range, I farmed for them.

Formula: Enchant Weapon - Demonslaying
Requires Enchanting (230)
Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant a weapon to have a chance of stunning and inflicting heavy damage on demons.

An enchanter with this formula can enchant a weapon with "Enchant Weapon - Demonslaying" giving the weapon the ability to possibly stun and inflict more damage to an enemy that is a demon.

Formula's drop just like regular items, and can also be purchased from a vendor or auction house.

Even though you say the enchants are wasted on low level they can help out a lot if you use the lesser enchants right.
My rogue was getting her rear stomped so I had some extra materials and threw some sta enchants and now she's good.

If you want some of the lesser enchants I'll be happy to do them on your stuff as long as I have the mats (or they aren't expensive mats) Just send me a whisper if you see my enchantress on. (Aerili - need to get her brought into the guild also)

WoW is the best way to get wife aggro
Ashallar (60 Pally -Alc), Vadik (5x Warrior) -members
Aerili (5x Mage- Ench), Narisa (3x Rogue- LW), Blackfist (29 pseudo-twink)- not members yet.
