A few weeks ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to participate with two of our dogs in their first Dock Diving competition. You won't see me in the video but you will see my wife. We have two yellow labs that are throughout the video. I would tell you which ones are ours but it is too difficult. The only way is if I say that the first dog that jumps is one of ours, and the yellow lab with the shortest jumps is the other. The video was shot over 3 days. The music brings it all together better but can get a bit annoying. Also, the last dog sitting on the chair is our newest addition to the family. Dang! Some of them dogs can jump high and far!

The ones that looked like they were going to jump over the pool are the ones that you would probably see on television if you have ever watched a The Incredible Dog Challenge. It is amazing how high and far they can jump. My wife just told me that we are going to another event in Chantilly, VA. in March. I won't clog the forum up with more video for the next one.

Woot! Now that was fun stuff. I'm thinking my lil English Pointer would get a kick out of that. No labs in the family though.

Any dog can enter and jump but the big jumps are almost always the medium to large dogs. We think it would be hilarious if one of the Chihuahuas would jump. They would never win, but I bet the crowd would go nuts.

I dunno...have you evern seen a Jack Russel Terrier jump? My Gawd...little springs and rocket jet packs attached to their butts.

I think if a Jack liked water they might be really good at the Extreme Vertical. More about the height of the jump than the distance.
