The doctors took his catheter out late Sunday night to see if he could handle it. Luckily he was able to, so we were able to bring him home Monday morning. He's been eating alright and using the potty box when needed.
They shaved both of his arms, his back, and the underside of his belly. The poor baby. lol It's so cute though. We just took his bandages off. =)

BTW - you can cut that collar to be about half the width of what it is. When Miaka was having allergy issues, we had to put the Elizabethan collar on her for a few weeks...but it had problems allowing her to eat and drink. Once we cut it in half, she could then eat/drink, but still was big enough to prevent chewing and scratching. What happened? |

Ah okay, didn't know that. the vet just gave it as is =) he
kept knocking food and water out of his bowl and running into
walls lol!
Took the collar off this morning when we took the pain killer patch off of him
He's had crystals for some time, and became really really badly blocked
up. Had to be at two different vets for about a week straight,
over night too. So expensive. And if the treatments
didn't work we would have to give him a surgery to remove his "manhood"
as Jeidyn put it
or if it happens all over again we might have to, but now he's being put on a specialized food

I'm so glad hes doing better. I can't stand to see an animal in pain or sick. I say leave the cone on him though. A little humiliation is fun...take lots of video...lol. My grandma has to keep her lil guy on special food now too. It seems to have really helped a lot. Once in a great while he has to go on some meds for a little while but over all, he does really well. |
